Most consumer goods ship to Togo when declared accurately. Some categories always need permits or carrier approval, and a few are commonly refused at customs.

Generally allowed (with correct paperwork)

• Clothing, shoes, and personal electronics for personal use
• Household goods and spare parts that are not restricted dual-use items
• Commercial samples and small business inventory with accurate invoices
• Many packaged dry goods and consumer products that are not hazardous

Often restricted or high scrutiny

• Hazardous materials, fuels, and pressurized containers without certification
• Weapons, weapon parts, and military-style accessories
• Counterfeit goods and items that infringe trademarks
• Fresh produce, meat, seeds, and soil without phytosanitary approval
• Prescription medicines and controlled substances without proper import authorization
• Large cash shipments and bearer instruments treated like cash
